Director and Instructor: Elizabeth founded COBHA in 1997 and owns Elizabeth Van Buren, Inc. with Larry Jones. She earned a BS Degree from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, NY and received a Secondary Credential and a Masters Degrees from UC Berkeley. She is also a graduate of the California School of Herbal Studies, Forestville, CA. Elizabeth was on the education committee at Alliance for International Aromatherapists, working to put national standards in place. She promotes the use of plant energy in the form of Essential Oils, Herbs, and Nutrition for her own community and Nationwide, and is currently enjoying promoting her new book, "Awaken to Healing Fragrance."  more »

Instructor: Suzy Hunt, a co-founder of CoBHA, is a healing arts practitioner and runs her business Whole-Self Healing. She has been involved in the healing arts for over 15 years and has incorporated essential oils and flower remedies into her practice for the past 10 years. Suzy holds a B.A. degree and post-graduate credits in public administration. She is devoted to her work in the healing arts and working with the powerful therapeutic qualities of flower essences and essential oils.

Instructor: Patty attained her certification in essential oil therapy from COBHA in July 2009. Originally from New York, she attended Pace College and completed her Associate degree in Liberal arts. Her inner compass has lead her to the path of teaching and offering guidance in the wonderful healing world of Essential Oils at COBHA.

Instructor: Amanda holds a BA in Chemistry, an MA in Teaching, is an Internationally Certified Aromatherapist with Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy and a Certified Herbalist with honors from Australasian College of Health Sciences. She has Diplomas of Master Aromatherapist and Master Herbalist from Australasian College of Health and Sciences in Portland, Oregon. She is the owner, founder, and Scientific Director of Terracina Aromatics and Herbals. She is excited to bring her knowledge of Chemistry and Aromatherapy together at COBHA.

Co-Owner of Elizabeth Van Buren Inc., Founder of Spectrix Analytical, Instructor: Larry has over 30 years experience in the chemical industry, Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical as well as the Chemistry Board at the University of California, Santa Cruz, CA. Founder of Spectrix Analytical Lab, he works with Gas Chromatography/ Mass Spectrometry, to ensure the absolute purity of essential oils. Larry gives lectures and workshops on essential oil purity and works with other chemists to improve the quality of essential oils for therapeutic purposes.
